Position Requirements


To provide learning systems support to the Education Development Service (EDS) team and Education Division.


The Support Officer – Learning Systems provides learning systems support across a breadth of education business units within SuniTAFE.

Reporting to the Team Leader – Learning Systems, the Support Officer is responsible for providing systems support for the Professional Educators College (PEC) Program, the Mentoring Program, the Course Repository, and the SuniCONNECT Learning Management System (LMS) plus any additional digital based program implemented within the team. This role also provides administrative support to the Education Development Advisors in relation to the digital preparation of teaching resources.  The role also plays a key role within the team in relation to monitoring milestones and following up tasks to ensure deadlines are met.


  1. Provide Systems Support to the Education Development Services unit, supporting the Professional Education College (PEC) program.
  2. Provide Systems Support for the TAE Mentoring Program
  3. Provide Systems Support for resource development
  4. Provide Systems Support to Project Reporting Team
  5. Provide systems support to the Team Leader, Learning Systems, Managers and Senior Manager(s), Education Delivery as required.

Personal Requirements


  • A strong interest in achieving a Certificate III or IV level qualification in Information Computer Technology.
  • Excellent computer and keyboard skills.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with software such as Microsoft word, excel, teams and publishing software.
  • Systems Support – ability to co-ordinate own activities, liaise with multiple stakeholders and work to tight timelines to complete support activities.


  • Knowledge of digital technologies and related practices and be able to provide other employees with guidance where applicable.
  • An awareness of the importance of relevant legislation, policies and procedures in ensuring organisational compliance.
  • A commitment and ability to work to a high standard of professionalism, including accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills including the ability to work across multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks, establish and monitor schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with complex systems and documents with a sound knowledge of software programs.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization and with external third parties and stakeholders.
