Position Requirements
- Work under the direction of a qualified supervisor and/or operations manager.
- Assist with assessing and repairing damaged vehicle body components, including panels, guards, bonnets, boots and doors.
- Learn and develop skills in removing, repairing, replacing and refitting body components.
- Prepare damaged panels for repair, including straightening, dent removal, sanding and filling.
- Safely use a range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Assist with vehicle and component dismantling and reassembly as required.
- Develop skills in vehicle body alignment, panel gaps and correct component fitment.
- Demonstrate attention to detail when identifying damage, defects and alignment issues.
- Complete tasks efficiently and follow instructions from qualified supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Commit to formal training, trade school and ongoing skills development.
- Complete tasks to a high standard following on-the-job training and supervision.
- Use basic communication, literacy and numeracy skills to understand instructions and complete required duties.
- Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Personal Requirements
- It is important that you are physically fit.
- Must have a basic skill in verbal & written literacy.
- Enjoy Practical and Manual work.
- Be able to work with hand tools and machines.
- Need to possess good hand-eye coordination.
- Be able to demonstrate time management skills.
- Possess an eye for detail.
- Be mechanically minded.
- Commitment to formal training and trade school requirements.
- Genuine desire and interested to work in the industry.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Must be punctual, honest and reliable.
- Display an enthusiastic attitude.
- Able to listen, take and follow instructions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Drivers Licence – Would be an asset.
