Position Requirements
POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Apprentice in Plumbing is to learn and build the necessary skills to become a valued part of busy team. Experience is not required however a willingness to learn and show enthusiasm is vital to the role. You will be required to Work outside and in all weather elements.
Availability for trial period to take place during school holidays.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Duties include but not limited to:
- Prepare and/or study plans and specifications to work out the layout of plumbing systems and materials
needed.
- Installation of Air conditioning, heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
- Cut, thread and bend pipes, assemble and install piping, valves and fittings, join pipe sections and secure
- Test lines as required by local plumbing regulations.
- Maintain and repair plumbing systems.
- Drainage work
- Other duties as directed.
- Ability to diagnose problems.
Personal Requirements
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physically fit.
- Hard working
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Drivers Licence – Manual – Highly desirable but not Essential.
- White Card or ability to obtain.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Position will be Full-Time. 40+ hours per week with RDO included.
There will be a TAFE component, which will need to be completed as part of the apprenticeship.
The successful applicant will be placed on a three-month probation period.
