Position Requirements
Duties include:
- Follow OH&S safe working policies and procedures in accordance with company direction.
- Communicate well in the workplace as well as working effectively with others in the workplace.
- Identify, handle and use products accurately.
- Cut and assemble manufactured board products for kitchen and vanity bench tops.
- Carry out measurements and calculations.
- Use cabinet making industry hand tools.
- Set up and operate cabinet making machinery including panel saw and edge bander.
- Ensure machinery is maintained and operated in a safe manner.
- Prepare surfaces for finishing then handle finished product with care.
- Read and interpret work documents.
- Participate in the onsite installation of kitchen and vanity tops.
- Participate in general housekeeping and the scheduled cleaning of machinery used.
- Perform other duties as directed.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a “hands on” role.
- It is important that you are physically fit.
- Genuine desire and interested to work in the industry.
- Must be punctual, polite, honest and reliable.
- Takes pride in the work they perform having ‘a good eye for detail’.
- It is PARAMOUNT you are self-motivated, can work autonomously and you are a conscientious worker.
- Display an enthusiastic attitude.
- Able to listen, take and follow instructions.
- Willing to work overtime during busy periods as required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Drivers Licence – Preferred
- White Card Essential
Employment in accordance with the Joinery and Building Trades Award 2020.
